About
Sushi Cat is an arcade game. The player controls a round, blob-like cat who fell in love with a pink, plush kitten toy. Turns out, winning the heart of his beloved somehow always requires gobbling large amounts of sushi.
The game consists of dropping the cat into an obstacle-filled chamber which somewhat resembles a pachinko machine. The cat starts on the top of the screen, and the player can move it left and right before dropping it down with a click. Once dropped, the cat falls down, bouncing off countless obstacles and consuming any pieces of sushi it comes across, before finally falling down into one of the bins at the bottom of the screen, upon which the cat can be dropped again. The goal on each level is to eat at least 30 pieces of sushi to fill the cat's belly, and there's a limited number of tries to do that.
Score is received for eaten sushi, depending on which bin the cat falls into, and score bonuses can be gained by feeding the cat a lot of sushi during one drop. There are also power-ups to be found among the sushi: a "Maneki Neko" which doubles the score or gives an extra try, a "Tsunami Roll" which draws in pieces of sushi in the vicinity of the cat, and a "Dragon Cannon" which can be aimed to shoot out the cat.
The iOS version of the game contains several additional levels and new cutscenes.
