Resident Evil 7: Biohazard - End of Zoe

End of Zoe is chronologically the last story-related downloadable content for Resident Evil 7 and tells us what happened to Zoe, the daughter of Marguerite and Jack Baker, after Ethan gave the antidote to Mia and left in a boat, promising to send her help. This story kicks in as Joe Baker, Jack's brother, spots two Umbrella soldiers examining Zoe in the somewhat petrified state she's been left in. Joe cares little for words and only believes what he sees, so he quickly takes the soldiers out with a couple of punches and carries Zoe back to his hut.

Joe has been living in a swamp on his own for a long time, and knows how to deal with monsters in the most direct way; that is, a couple of punches in the head to take them down. That said, this story gives you no firearms whatsoever and you'll have to rely on your fists as well as stealth takedowns, although you can build your own weapons the crude way, such as using branches and metal scraps to craft throwing spears or nail bombs. Before he rescued Zoe, Joe overheard the soldiers talking about a cure for her. Bent on saving her no matter what, he's willing to fight whoever comes his way to save the last remaining member of his family.

Navigating the swamp can be perilous and he will fight bio-weapon monsters as well as the habitat's natural predators, the alligators. Joe can sneak up to a monster from behind and perform a silent takedown, or he can take them head on with his fists. Fist fighting is a big part of this DLC and aside from regular left and right cross, there are various combos that depend on the timing and order of the buttons you press. Most of the game takes place during nighttime and in the open, but there are occasional interiors such as an old steam boat, various huts, and even the Bakers' farm which is now cordoned-off by the Umbrella Corporation. Jack Baker appears to have survived his encounters with Ethan in the base game, and Joe will have to face him in various fist fights throughout this story. The conclusion has Chris Redfield arriving to check on Zoe, who he's been looking for for days, and Zoe gets a phone call from Ethan, revealing he never forgot about her and is the reason why Chris and his team came to find her.
