About
The second volume of Banned Footage is downloadable content for Resident Evil 7 which adds two extra playable videotapes and one extra bonus game. All the content is accessible via the main menu in "Extras" and can be played independently of the base game.
Videotape 3: 21
From the first two videotapes in volume 1, we know that Clancy, the cameraman, survived the onslaught of monsters prepared for him by Jack, and escaped the clutches of mommy dearest. Now he finds himself taken hostage by their son, Lucas, and forced to play a deadly game of 21. But he won't be playing it alone. Another unlucky soul has to play against him, and the winner makes it out alive. This entire videotape shows you strapped to a chair with a deadly device punishing you for every lost game, first taking your fingers, until it ends up taking your very life. But even if you win and your opponent dies, the game isn't over yet and Lucas takes on for the final match with all the odds against you. The card game of 21 follows the typical rules: the closest number to 21 wins, but taking too many cards and going over that number is an instant loss. The rules can be checked at any time during the game and there also are special cards to enhance the gameplay, accessible and used from the inventory.
Videotape 4: Daughters
Unlike the remaining three banned footage videotapes which focus on Clancy, this one focuses on Zoe, an unlucky daughter who was struggling for years trying to stay alive and unaffected by Emily's deadly mold. The story starts with breaking news of a hurricane and soon after, Jack, who is a very good guy at heart, brings in one of the survivors from the ship accident not far from their home. That survivor is Emily. At the beginning, Jack, Marguerite and Lucas are all normal, but as Emily gets a hold of them, they start losing their mind and become the monsters that Ethan faced in the base game. Zoe's goal is to try escaping the house before Emily gets a hold of her as well. There is no fighting in this story and Zoe will mainly be trying to stay alive by avoiding her parents. The story features both a good ending (if Zoe finds Mia) and a bad ending (if Zoe tries to drive off alone).
Extra Game: Jack's 55th Birthday
This bonus game consists in several progressively unlocked levels, each with a countdown and an amount of food you need to find to keep Jack's belly full. Jack is sitting with a fork and knife and his birthday boy hat, waiting for you to bring him food and drinks. You can combine food you find with various spices to make it more effective and reach the required amount more quickly. The areas are infested with ever re-spawning monsters, who also wear birthday party hats, and taking them out isn't a goal. In the starting room, there is an item box with various weapons and items you can take with you, but the more weapons you carry, the less space you'll have to take the food you find with you.
