About
Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet is the commercial successor to the freeware adventure game Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy!. Like the predecessor the game is a classical point-and-click adventure with a pirate theme, with pirate wannabe Nelly Cootalot as the female protagonist.
The story continues directly where the previous game ended: When villainous Baron Widebeard was defeated, Nelly accidentally revealed the secret of the "Treasure of the Seventh Sea" without even noticing. So it is up to the the dead pirate William Bloodbeard to rise from the dead again and remind Nelly about the outstanding mission - involving the rescue of many endangered birds. Following the trace of Widebeard you will visit several different isles, meet many characters from the previous game (and many new ones) and solve various puzzles by combining items of your inventory with the game world.
On the main island "The Guttering Howls" the game will provide a quick travel system again - opening the map and clicking on the destination will directly move you there. The interface has been modernized to a left and right click system: On a right click Nelly will describe the hotspot while left clicking will "use" it. The game now also features an integrated help system: Bloodbeard's familiar bird Sebastian will follow you into every scene (as soon as you have found him) and provide hints on what to do next. Hotspots may be highlighted by pressing the space bar, and all conversations and descriptions are voiced.
