However, as we can already assume, all new PlayStation titles after that date will be sold exclusively in digital form through the PlayStation Store or as digital codes in physical retail stores.
Sony explains that the reason behind this decision is very simple: the majority of gamers today buy their games digitally. According to the company's data, around 80% of full-game sales during fiscal year 2025 came from digital purchases rather than physical ones.
