Sony is warning us that PlayStation 6 won't be cheap

Sony is dramatically warning all of us that the PlayStation 6, as we could have already guessed ourselves, MOST LIKELY WON'T BE CHEAP AT ALL!
Even though the PlayStation 6 is still several long years away from release, Sony has already started warning us about one thing that could become a nightmare for many gamers. The company no longer plans to sell consoles at major losses in order to make money later through game sales and subscriptions. In other words, that means the PlayStation 6 could end up being significantly more expensive than many people expect.
During a meeting with investors, Sony stated that "it is not realistic for the company to absorb all component cost increases." This basically means that rising manufacturing costs will most likely be reflected in the price of future hardware. Instead of Sony covering those costs from its own budget again, they will realistically be passed on through the final price.
The company also emphasized that it no longer wants to sell hardware at a significant loss, which used to be common practice with previous console generations.
Sony still hasn't revealed when the PlayStation 6 will launch, or how much it will actually cost. But one message is clear: the company no longer wants to sell consoles while taking major financial losses.
If this plan remains unchanged, the next generation of PlayStation consoles could become the most expensive one yet. And gamers will likely have to spend more money than ever before to jump into the next generation.
