How to get Tidal Shadow in Genshin Impact (FULL GUIDE)

Tidal Shadow is a very good free-to-play (F2P) forgeable 4-star Claymore in Genshin Impact.

It was released on August 16, 2023, with the release of Genshin Impact Version 4.0.

Tidal Shadow belongs to the Beaumont Series.

Tidal Shadow offers a very high base ATK stat, so it's a really good F2P option for many characters such as;

Sandrone: 5-Star DPS

Beidou: 4-Star Shielder/Support

Chongyun: 4-Star Support/Sub-DPS

Sayu: 4-Star Healer

The weapon skill of Tidal Shadow is called

White Cruising Wave:

After the wielder is healed, ATK will be increased by 24% for 8s. This can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.

As you increase the weapon's Refinement Rank, this skill becomes stronger; at R5, Tidal Shadow increases the wielder's ATK by 48% for 8 seconds after they are healed.

In this guide, you'll learn how to craft, fully level, and max out Tidal Shadow in the quickest and easiest way possible.

1. RECIPE / DIAGRAM LOCATION

This Claymore is very good now, that's for sure. But if we want to craft it, we must obtain the recipe first, which we can find at this exact location (Court of Fontaine). Our good friend, the Fontaine Blacksmith, sells it, just buy it from her:

To buy the diagram of the Tidal Shadow, you need:

Condessence Crystal 10x

Bulle Fruit 10x

Marcotte 10x

These materials are no big deal; most players already have a lot of them. But in case you don't have them, it's not much trouble - here are the locations where you can find these materials:

Condessence Crystal Location

There are a lot of them in the Beryl Region (Fontaine) at these exact spots:

Berly Region is an ancient ruin-studded mountain range across the water from the Court of Fontaine.

Many, many centuries ago, the followers of Egeria once saw this place as a prime location for excursions and picnics. Gathered here, they sang of love and dreams as pure and stainless as polished gems. Their songs have long faded into the pale moonlight, and now, only cool breezes continue to caress these lonely, mint-studded highlands.

Bulle Fruit Location

Now that's a lot of Bulle Fruit! You can find a lot of them behind the Court of Fontaine:

Court of Fontaine... "This city alone stands above all waters."

Towering up at the highest point of the city, the Palais Mermonia represents the highest authority in Fontaine. Under its gaze, the people lead orderly lives that are as regular and predictable as the aquabus.

Law serves to maintain a stable order, which is in turn the cornerstone that equity and justice are built upon.

Marcotte Location

As you can see, Marcotte can be found in any region in Fontaine.

Fontaine is the fifth of seven nations in Genshin Impact's world of Teyvat. It represents the element of Hydro and is the setting of chapter 4 Archon Quest of the game's storyline. It is known for its flourishing science and culture, making it the most technologically advanced region in Teyvat.

Now that you've bought the diagram, just go find it in your inventory under the "Precious Items" category, select it, then click "Use".

You can also do that by interacting with any Blacksmith.

2. CRAFTING TIDAL SHADOW

Now, go to any Blacksmith in Teyvat and interact with them to access the forging menu.

To craft Tidal Shadow you will need:

Midlander Claymore Billet 1x

Condessence Crystal 50x

White Iron Chunk 50x

Those materials can be found at the following locations:

Midlander Claymore Billet Location

You can get it from the Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom (Scaramouche/Balladeer) boss fight, which is located in Joururi Workshop (Chinvat Ravine in Sumeru):

Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom is a weekly boss. It has two phases, utilizing different anemo, cryo, electro, hydro, and pyro attacks in each phase. Players must charge the Neo Akasha Terminal by collecting energy blocks dropped by the boss to activate elemental matrices on the ground, which provide buffs and can damage the boss. Rewards for defeating it include artifacts, ascension gems, and other loot.

You can also get Midlander Claymore Billet from the Shadow of Another World domain by defeating the boss. (The domain is located in Fontaine, Salacia Plain.):

The All-Devouring Narwhal, also known as the "Shadow of Another World", is a major antagonist in Fontaine Archon Quest. It is a massive narwhal-like entity hailing from the Abyss who consumes the waters from the Primordial Sea, and owned by Surtalogi.

Other than these locations, you can craft a Midlander Claymore Billet with 2x Dream Solvents, which can be obtained by defeating any boss in Genshin Impact.

Dream Solvent is a rare, 4-star consumable material used at any Crafting Bench to convert one Weekly Boss talent material into another specific material from the same boss. It is essential for upgrading character talents past level six without relying on random RNG boss drops.

Defeating any Trounce Domain boss has roughly a 30-33% chance to drop a Dream Solvent when you claim your rewards with Original Resin.

You can find Condessence Crystal in Berly Region (Fontaine):

Condessence Crystal is a Forging Material item found in Fontaine and Natlan. It's a bright and clear crystal with a core that is both tough and malleable.

White Iron Chunk Location

The Chasm (Liyue):

Mt. Aocang (Liyue):

Mondstadt:

White Iron Chunks are a Forging Material item. They are used when forging for Fine Enhancement Ore, weapons and to create a variety of Furnishings.

Skilled hands can make it into something brilliant.

3. MAX LEVEL ASCEND MATERIALS

To fully ascend the Tidal Shadow to max level, you will need to gather these materials:

Broken Goblet of the Pristine Sea 3x

Wine Goblet of the Pristine Sea 9x

Silver Goblet of the Pristine Sea 9x

Golden Goblet of the Pristine Sea 4x

Rift Core 15x

Foreign Synapse 18x

Alien Life Core 27x

Goblets of the Pristine Sea Location

You can obtain all the Goblets of the Pristine Sea you need from the Echoes of the Deep Tides domain, which is located in the Court of Fontaine region of Fontaine.

However, these materials are only available in this domain on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Goblets of the Pristine Sea are items of varying quality used to ascend and level up Weapons.

Rift Core, Foreign Synapse, Alien Life Core Locations

Rift Core, Foreign Synapse and Alien Life Core can be obtained by defeating Lv. 60+ Breacher Primuses enemies, which drop these materials.

These enemies can only be found in one region; the Beryl Region of Fontaine.

Breacher Primuses are an elite enemy group. They are alien lifeforms created from the cells of Elynas, and are similarly aligned with the power of the Abyss. In combat, Breacher Primuses normally use Physical attacks, but will periodically enter a stressed state, where they will gain a shield of their respective element and continuously unleash powerful elemental attacks.

Meshing, Mechanical, Artificed Dynamic Gear Locations

Meshing Gear, Mechanical Gear, and Artificed Dynamic Gear can be obtained by defeating Clockwork Meka enemies, which drop these materials.

You can find those enemies all around Fontaine.

Erinnyes Forest (Fontaine):

Clockwork Meka are an enemy group. They were made by Fontaine to serve as laborers, but were eventually modified for combat purposes. They are imbued with Arkhe energy, either Pneuma or Ousia, allowing them to deal Elemental DMG with their attacks, and will use different abilities depending on Arkhe alignment.
