Warlords: Battlecry III

Warlords: Battlecry III is a real-time strategy game with some role-playing game features set in a fantasy setting. The campaign mode is a story-based adventure in which you choose a main hero (his name, race and class) and play as that hero from mission to mission gaining experience points. Not only can you carry your hero from mission to mission but his retinue also will carry over gaining experience.

Other modes of play include Skirmish where you choose up to five computer controlled enemy races to compete against with several options like map size (number of temples, number of animals, resources, etc.), scenario options ( random weather, game speed, etc.) and victory conditions like raze all buildings or king of the castle to name a few. Multiplayer allows up to six players to connect to a game across a network or over the internet.

Some special features include - sixteen different races to choose from with twenty-eight different classes, retinues to follow your hero from mission to mission and role-playing game features like taking on quests to further the story along.
