Tamagotchi 4U

Tamagotchi 4U is a Tamagotchi virtual pet that uses NFC to interface with other devices. It could also connect with NFC-enabled smartphones to download additional content.

The gameplay is largely the same as previous devices in the series, with one major change to the basic experience: Tamagotchi no longer have a teenage form, instead progressing directly to their adult form, though they now have a "Personality Stage" where they may change form or personality based on how they are treated. The Tamagotchi can also learn skills; basic ones like potty training and bathing as a child, and more advanced skills like invention and fashion as an adult.

The unit also comes with three minigames: bowling, piloting a spaceship, and a dance game. Additional games were available for download.
