Mummy's Curse

The Mummy's Curse is an early color adventure game, where the player has to recover the solid gold death mask of King Ruttatuttut, which is guarded by the Mummy.

The player starts at a small oasis in the Sahara desert, which must be returned to regularly, as the player can rapidly die of thirst while exploring the desert. Later in the game, the player discovers a magical ewer, which remains filled with water. During the game, three magical amulets are discovered which grant skills needed to overcome the Mummy's tomb: Horus which gives great strength, Apep which overcomes guardian snakes, and Sma which grants the ability to hold breath.

The game uses a VERB NOUN parser, and features several animated sequences. To navigate your way through the locations in the game you uses the cardinal directions: N(ORTH)/S(OUTH)/W(EST)/E(AST)/U(P)/D(OWN). "I" shows you a list of what you currently have.

There is a SAVE/RESTORE option.
