Melty Blood: Actress Again

This update to Melty Blood is a substantial expansion of the original game featuring not only new characters but new gameplay mechanics. Each character now features three variations, known as Crescent Moon Style, Half Moon Style, and Full Moon Style; players choose their style at the time they choose a character. Crescent Moon versions focus on speed, with gameplay based on their Re-ACT versions; Half Moon versions focus on simplicity, with gameplay based their arranged versions from Act Cadenza; and Full Moon versons focus on power, with newly-created character movesets.

For the first time in the series, Actress Again introduces a traditional fighting game guard bar with the ability to guard crush opponents when they block too frequently. It also features larger stages than previous games.

A later release, Actress Again - Current Code, featured further gameplay changes; it was released in arcades and for Windows.
