Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013

Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 is a sequel to the game from the previous year. The gameplay remains unchanged, and true to the Magic: The Gathering card game that it is based on. In each turn the player may play a land, which generates mana. There are five different kinds of mana and the mana is used to cast spells or summon creatures. With the help of these creatures the players battle each other until there is only one player left with some hit points.

The 2013 version of the game contains a new campaign, the battle against the Multiverse's ultimate villain: the dragon planeswalker Nicol Bolas. There are required duels in the campaign and also optional challenges. Each won duel and challenge will unlock an additional card for the current deck. There are 10 different decks, with cards from the current Magic card game expansions and also from the not released, as of the publishing of this title, Magic 2013 core set. In addition to that there is a game mode called "multiplayer mayhem" available. In this mode the player fights together with three other players (human or AI) against strange elements from the always changing Multiverse.
