About

Liong: The Lost Amulets is a mahjong game with two modes. In Traditional mode, there's only the mahjong component, where a pile of tiles with pictures have to be matched to a series of pieces at the bottom. Only tiles that have free left or right sides, unblocked by other pieces, can be removed from the pile. The objective is to remove all tiles with letters forming the word shown at the top.

In Adventure mode there are several optional mini-games, randomly selected on a wheel between the mahjong levels. The bingo mini-game shows a grid of numbers, with a string of numbered balls slowly revolving around it. The goal is to match the balls to the grid numbers. In the hidden object mini-game, the objective is to find all the items listed at the bottom, on screens filled with assorted objects. The memory mini-game is an implementation of concentration, where pairs of matching mahjong tiles have to be found. In the tiling mini-game, several geometric shapes have to be placed inside a box, in a challenge similar to Tangram.

Jade pearls are scattered throughout the levels. They can be collected to pay for the use of four power buttons at the bottom. The eye button costs one pearl, and highlights the tiles that can be removed. The twirl button costs three pearls, and shuffles all tiles. The fire button costs four pearls, and removes ten pieces from the pile. The grid button costs five pearls, and eliminates fifteen tiles.
