Hoshi Saga

The first in the Hoshi Saga series, this game sets the basic premise for all that follow it: it presents players with a simple challenge -- through numerous disparate and unrelated Flash minigames, in each of them the player's goal is to use the mouse to reveal a 5-pointed star which is hidden there somewhere. Across 36 different black-and-white levels, the basic rules of interaction are different in nearly every screen -- sometimes the star is "out of scope", which needs to be rotated or adjusted; sometimes it is obscured by other objects also on the screen. In some screens the player needs to "draw" the star themself, in positive or negative space. Each level is completed upon the revelation of its star, and upon the completion of every 5 levels, a 6th bonus one becomes available.
