Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island

In Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island you control three characters: Papa Doc, a vooju priest; Jane Starling, a lovely female pirate; and Blue Belly, a bashful ship's cook. All three have been cursed by the evil Queen Zimbi and are transformed into ghosts. They must work together to discover a way to reinhabit their bodies, to stop the baddies and to take revenge on the evil queen. As ghosts they have only limited ability to directly influence the world around them, but they have some magical powers. They can communicate with each other over long-distances and they can ask each other questions about the items they have found.

In the first part the characters are shown as transparent bodies, in the second part their "real" appearance is shown. To solve some problems they are still capable to return to their ghostly state. By clicking on a character's portrait in the inventory the player can switch between characters, unless that character has already completed all their required tasks. Items are saved as "ideas" in the inventory ("as you do not want to run around as a pack mule"), to be used at the appropriate location. All hotspots and exits are shown when the TAB key is pressed. The game includes subtitles, except during cutscenes.
