About
On the island of Kosshin, the inhabitants play percussion on any strikable object to generate mysterious rhythms. But then one day a strange force erased sound from the island completely. Chaos arises as the islanders become confused and agitated. The cave boy Cottu heard from a fortune teller that the six sacred sites hold special instruments that play legendary rhythms. Only by matching rhythms and impressing the rhythm masters will the sound return to the island.
Genjin Kotts contains two game modes. The first mode is a platformer, with the player navigating Cottu to collect music notes, and beat objects, before reaching the end of each stage. The other mode, is a kind of Simon Says musical rhythm game, with player required to beat the left, right or both percussion objects in time to the metronome, and the player allowed to make five mistakes.
