Farm Merge Valley

Farm Merge Valley is a simulation game in which players manage a farm by sliding tiles of items together to eventually collect resources and grow larger and larger farms. The object of the game is to continue growing as a large a farm as possible, levelling up and acquiring an ever greater number of higher-tier resources.

The main gameplay feature of Farm Merge Valley is "merging". Players frequently acquire crates throughout the game which they drop onto their grid-based farm land, and will open to grant one item. Each item has a set of tiers that can be upgraded to by merging it with items of the same type: For example, multiple chicks merge together to become a teenage chicken, multiple of which merge together to become a black hen, which finally merge together to become a rooster which will grant the Egg resource. Every category of item, when merged to its highest tier, will grant a resource that can be collected twice. (With a cooldown in-between the two collections.) For example, fully upgraded cows grant milk, fully upgraded grain seedlings grant wheat, fully upgraded logs provide wood, etc. Resources can be spent via "requests" given out by buildings that the player can repair, and completing requests awards coins and energy, which the player can spend to unlock more farm land for merging and acquire new item types, discover more buildings, etc.

There many different bonuses, boosts, temporary effects, and limited-time events that the player encounters throughout the game which temporarily upgrade their abilities or grant extra items and resources. This includes "Lucky Merges", "Merge Fives", Daily Login Bonuses, collecting complete sets of stickers, and more. Players can use the Train to visit the farms of real-life friends they have connected with on the game's social platforms, granting additional bonuses to both the visitor and the host.

Many aspects of the game, after the player has had a chance to use them immediately, include wait times before they can be used again. (Examples include chopping a tree, mining a rock, waiting for a final-tier item to grant its second resource, and waiting for a building to finish creating a task item that the player has submitted the resources for.) Wait times can be skipped by spending the premium currency of gems, which can be purchased with real-world money. Gems can also be used for a variety of other highly-valuable actions, such as opening permanently-locked premium farm land and acquiring large amounts of coins and high-tier resources. Everything in the game is built with bright colors and smiling, welcoming graphics, as well as many red exclamation point notification symbols to encourage players to constantly "unlock" new things within the game at a steady pace without end, to encourage continued play. All aspects of the game operate on a system of granting the player free, instant access to a gameplay feature, and then offering that same feature with slightly more and more barriers (such as longer wait times) that can be avoided by spending gems, encouraging additional purchases of gems.
