Rusty's Retirement

Rusty’s Retirement is a single-player idle farming simulation game. The player controls Rusty, an aging robot who decides to spend his retirement tending to a small farm on a quiet patch of land. Having left behind a life of industrial work, Rusty focuses on cultivating crops, raising animals, and restoring the countryside to a state of peaceful productivity. The story is minimal and reflective, centered on Rusty’s quiet pursuit of purpose through farming and invention rather than conflict or competition.

Gameplay emphasizes calm, incremental growth rather than active management. The player begins with a single field and a few basic crops. By harvesting plants and selling produce, Rusty earns resources that can be invested in automation and expansion. Robot assistants gradually take over routine chores such as watering, planting, harvesting, and refining crops into biofuel. Over time the farm expands into multiple zones, each supporting new crops, animals, and production facilities.
