You are Detective Dale Vandermeer, and you have been called to investigate the murder of a young woman at her home. You must collect the evidence you find there, and solve the puzzles before leaving the scene of the crime; in the process, you find a folder with "Rusty Lake Archive" written on it. The information contained in it will change your destiny...

Case 23 is a point and click adventure game that takes place across four different locations in four chapters. You start by investigating the murder, and later try to put together the contents of the Rusty Lake folder to try to figure out if this place had anything to do with it. As you progress, more and more strange phenomena will happen around you, and you won't know if your grip on reality is slipping, or if something is trying to get you. The puzzles that you solve will help you piece together your research into Rusty Lake, and eventually go there to find the truth behind what is going on.
