About
As Naomi Cragne, players venture through the eerie town of Backwater, Vermont, and into the confusing Cragne Manor in search of answers concerning the disappearance of her husband Peter. Along the way she meets memorable characters, traverses offputting locations, and interacts with unforgettable situations.
But that's just where the strangeness starts. This unique work of interactive fiction, written as a tribute to the Lovecraftian text adventure Anchorhead on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its release, was created as an exquisite corpse exercise by over 80 different authors of all skill levels, each designing a self-contained environment intended to hook up with other unknown areas, sight unseen, without coordinating matters of geography or climate. The disconcerting cumulative effect is a supreme triumph of cognitive dissonance.
