About
Brothers in Arms: D-Day is the first title in the Brothers in Arms series for the PSP. Like the other games in the BIA franchise, this shooter is set in World War II and makes heavy use of tactics and cover systems with team-based actions. The story follows Sgt. Matthew Baker and Cpl. Joe Hartstock through the Normandy campaign.
D-Day can be considered a remix of the first two titles in the series, Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood, as the levels and combat missions were selected from the first two BIA games, and re-worked for the PSP, in addition to a set of new levels as well. The player can now make use of bazooka teams and fire mortars. Teammates have new abilities, covers can be destroyed, and there are new weapons. A lot of the gameplay is based on coordinating teammates. Tactics are then set out using a birds-eye perspective of the action.
Multiplayer games through Wi-Fi Ad Hoc either offer 12 skirmish missions or 4 different game modes through the co-op multiplayer campaign.
