About
Bounce is a 2D platformer, originally bundled with the Nokia 9210 Communicator before becoming more well-known as a pre-installed game with several entry-level Nokia mobile phones throughout the early-to-mid 2000s. The player navigates a red rubber ball throughout several levels set inside a factory.
The ball has to go through all of the level's golden hoops that will activate the exit to the next level, while avoiding spikes and blue moving spiky objects. There are yellow crystals throughout each level that act as checkpoints and give extra points to the player, as well as blue crystal balls that give extra lives. There are also inflators that make the ball larger in size as well as give it the ability to float underwater, and deflators (represented by red spiky platforms) that return the ball to its normal size. Certain levels have blue rubber platforms wherein the ball will bounce higher than usual. Later levels introduce temporary power-ups that either greatly increase the ball's speed, reverse its gravity, or make it bounce higher.
Certain levels of the Symbian versions of the game have lifts, conveyor belts, blowers, and vacuum cleaners; these elements have been omitted from the J2ME version.
