About

A lonely boy strays a bit far from home one day and notices a glimmer in the sky. Although afraid when it turns out to be a monster, it appears to be friendly and he bustles up on top of it, glad to have found a companion. Looking up to the stars, he wonders if there are other people out there who are as lonely as he is. Together, they decide to find out.

Aether focuses on exploration and allows the boy and his companion to visit different planets in space. They can move around by attaching the monster's tongue to clouds and other objects and then swing to gain height and travel around. Clicking and holding the left mouse button attaches the tongue, and it is released by letting go. Once in space, gravity becomes less of an issue and there are five planets to visit. Some have inhabitants, but all of them have a puzzle to complete, usually to make the planet a better place.
