About
Advance is a chess program that participated in multiple computer chess tournaments in the 1980s. Initial versions of the program ran on a MOS 6502 processor, and later versions ran on a 16-bit Motorola 68k processor. The program utilized various special techniques which allowed it to win microcomputer tournaments in the early 80s.
