a vision of the sublime

a vision of the sublime is a short, surreal Bitsy game where the player guides their avatar up a flight of stairs toward a temple. As they climb the stairs and circle the structure at the top, the on-screen text becomes more poetic and dreamlike, with the color palette shifting every time they go around. The player will retrace their steps several times, seeking out the sparkling icons on the screen to prompt more text and even more surreal imagery. The game was created for Bitsy Jam #16, with the theme "sublime."
