A Taste of the Past

A Taste of the Past is a short visual novel about a teenage girl that has recently lost her mother. While on the train, she falls asleep and ends up on a different train populated by her deceased relatives. She must talk to them one by one about her mother and her grief, and then perform a small cooking task to move on. As she moves backwards through the generations she reveals and learns more about herself and her mother's relationship, especially when it came to food. The game was created for Ludum Dare 48, which revolved around the theme "deeper and deeper."
