Minecraft has finally added the ability to sit like a normal person after a full 17 years. On top of that, cushions and a few more useful features are also on the way.
After nearly 17 years of existence, Mojang has finally decided to introduce one of the most requested features in the entire history of Minecraft. AND THAT IS THE ABILITY FOR PLAYERS TO SIT! This new option is coming in the next update, and the new mechanic is made possible through a brand-new block in the game called the Cushion.
The new Cushion item can be crafted from wool slabs and comes in 16 different colors. Once you place it on almost any flat surface you want, you can sit on it very easily. No boats, minecarts, mods, or other improvised tricks that players have been using for years.
Besides the cushions, this update also introduces the Straw Bed, which, unlike a regular bed, lets you sleep through the night without changing your respawn location. That makes it perfect for exploring the world.
Fans welcomed the news with excitement and a great dose of humor. On social media, many people are making jokes about Steve finally getting the chance to sit down and rest after 17 years of standing. Many are also surprised that such a simple feature is only now arriving in the game and believe it should have existed from the very beginning.
Minecraft is finally getting another long-requested improvement.
Thanks to the new Cushion blocks, players will finally be able to sit without using any tricks, while the Straw Bed will make exploring the world much more convenient. These may not be revolutionary changes, but they're exactly the kind of details that keep Minecraft feeling fresh even after nearly two decades.
