“YouTuber Zeldasouls just completed Dark Souls at level 1, hitless, no dodge roll, and without ranged attacks; no magic, no bow, literally nothing.”

YouTuber Zeldasouls just completed Dark Souls at level 1, hitless, no dodge roll, and without ranged attacks; no magic, no bow, literally nothing.

This superhuman is the world’s first who has done something like this. Beating the game under these conditions is insane, they played the hardest possible version of the game.

To understand how difficult this actually is and how much of a legend Zeldasouls is, let’s recall the mechanics in Dark Souls.

Dodge roll is a BASIC SURVIVAL MECHANIC IN THIS GAME, and ranged attacks are a way to avoid risk. This legend rejected all those mechanics AND STILL SUCCEEDED! And they weren’t allowed to take a single hit, they couldn’t die, nor be staggered. They completed a perfect run without mistakes.

But what really made this run insane were the rules they had.

They weren’t allowed to level up, meaning they intentionally stayed at level 1 the entire game; no rolling, no backstepping, no projectiles, no resetting enemies, enemies couldn’t deal damage to them. The only thing that was allowed was a scripted death in the game that cannot be avoided because it is hard-coded to happen.

Zeldasouls worked on this for 2 years, constantly failing and resetting until they perfected it. Literally blood, sweat, and tears.

This wasn’t just skill, it was also memory and reflex. They had to perfectly know every attack, pattern, and timing of each boss. It also requires mental endurance, because they had to play for hours without making a mistake, and one hit would end it all.

Most people can’t even finish the game normally considering Dark Souls reputation as one of the hardest games, and they completed the entire game hitless under such insane conditions.

This is no longer normal gameplay, and through this message, we at TechPlay want to sincerely congratulate them on such a huge achievement. WELL DONE, CHAMP!
