According to PlayStation Store sleuth PlayStation Game Size, GTA 6 will weigh in at around 210 GB, making it a significantly larger game than GTA 5, which clocked in at 105 GB on PC. As expected, GTA 6 will be the largest game Rockstar has made to date, surpassing Red Dead Redemption 2, which sits at 150 GB on PC.
I deliberately highlighted the PC versions here because the PS5 versions of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are somewhat closer to 100 GB. It is also worth noting that, if this figure turns out to be accurate, this will be the full amount of data required to download, since there is no physical disc release.
As a point of interest, this still won't push GTA 6 to the top spot on the list of games taking up the most storage space, so that position will still be held by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which exceeds 300 gigabytes with all add-ons included.
Fortunately, preloading will be available 7 days in advance, so even if you have a somewhat slower internet connection, you will still have plenty of time to download it. It is also mentioned that review copies have already landed in the hands of some reviewers, and that reviews will go live the day before the official launch.
