Warcraft 3 Legacy FINALLY RETURNS! But with a catch...

Warcraft 3 Legacy, that is, the original version of the game, HAS RETURNED TO Battle.net!
After so many years; fans can once again play classic Warcraft 3 in its full potential!

Blizzard has added the Warcraft III: Legacy option, patch 1.2.9, in the launcher.
It is available to absolutely all owners of the game. An important thing is that you no longer need Reforged to launch it, but however... there are limitations.

It is only possible to play in offline mode or LAN play. There is no online or matchmaking, which is kinda sad. :(
But the reason for that is because this is a version of the game from before Reforged even existed, so we can’t really blame them, it at least makes some sense from their side.

We can say that Blizzard is trying to fix their past mistake with this.
Because Warcraft 3: Reforged (2020) was a disaster, fans hated it since it replaced the original version and removed many features.
BUT NOW THEY ARE BRINGING BACK THE REAL WARCRAFT 3 EXPERIENCE!
However... since there is no online multiplayer mode, this is more of a half fix than a full comeback.

Before this, the original Warcraft 3 had practically disappeared, you had to use workarounds.
But now; Blizzard officially brings it back FINALLY AFTER A FULL 6 YEARS!
However, they are not bringing everything back like online and full support.
So they still haven’t fully fixed the reputation that Reforged destroyed.

This is a huge thing for the RTS community and the custom map scene. It shows that Blizzard is listening to the community and their wishes at least a little, even if they are still not ready to fully bring back the old version.

In short; the Warcraft 3 Legacy version has returned to Battle.net, and with that the original version of the game is available again, but we can’t play online... at least not yet.

This is a kind of apology to the fans from Blizzard, but they are still not in their full redemption arc yet.
