Valve recently announced the complete new calendar for Steam sales and themed events for the first half of 2027, allowing players to plan their purchases and budgets in advance, while giving developers time to prepare discounts and participate in special festivals.
The most interesting part is that the biggest event of the first half of the year will be the traditional Steam Spring Sale, which will run from March 18 to March 25. There's also the Steam Summer Sale, scheduled to take place from June 24 to July 8, 2027.
Besides those, Valve also announced a large number of themed festivals dedicated to specific genres and types of games. Among the first events are Desktop Companion Fest, which will run from January 14 to January 18. There's also Shop Keeper Fest, running from January 25 to February 1. In addition, Steam Next Fest will take place from June 14 to June 21 and will bring free demos of upcoming games.
The announcement received positive reactions from PC gamers, who are already making wishlists for the Spring and Summer Sales. Steam Next Fest especially caught a lot of attention, as many players use the event to try dozens of new games for free before they launch.
