The company announced that it is closing two more development studios and carrying out a new round of layoffs as part of a broader cost-cutting plan. This is just the latest move in a long series of cuts that Ubisoft has been making over the past few years while trying to stabilize the business after several problematic projects and financial challenges.
The most interesting and biggest shock about all of this isn't just the studio closures, but the fact that it's happening despite Ubisoft currently having several major projects in development.
