Ubisoft launches real Black Flag IRL treasure hunt

Because of all the Black Flag Resynced hype, UBISOFT IS LAUNCHING A REAL TREASURE HUNT INSPIRED BY THE SAME LEGENDARY GAME!

Ubisoft is launching a real-life treasure hunt inspired by the Black Flag game, and the prize reportedly goes up to 500,000 dollars! However, there is a catch... PARTICIPATION STILL WON’T BE FREE!
This is a mix of a marketing campaign and a real ARG treasure hunt event.

This treasure hunt would work by having players solve various clues and puzzles - everything would be completely inspired by the pirate theme of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and to access this event you would need to pay around 41 dollars.
Ubisoft is obviously targeting hardcore Assassin’s Creed fans!

This is especially interesting because gaming companies rarely make such massive real-life events, and Black Flag still has a huge cult status among fans. The pirate theme fits perfectly with the treasure hunt concept they are planning.
It feels like a very immersive way of promotion.
