Tomb Raider: Catalyst is officially delayed to 2028.

Tomb Raider: Catalyst, which was supposed to release in 2027, has now been delayed to 2028. I know you can't believe it, but you have to.

All Lara Croft fans will have to stock up on even more patience. Amazon Games boss Jeff Gattis recently confirmed that Tomb Raider: Catalyst has officially been delayed to 2028 instead of its originally planned 2027 release. This wasn't announced through a dedicated announcement, but was instead mentioned during an interview about the company's future plans.

Jeff Gattis confirmed that the Tomb Raider schedule is now as follows;

1. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

2. A remake of the original Tomb Raider, releasing on February 12, 2027.

3. Then Tomb Raider: Catalyst, which will now arrive in 2028.

Even though Amazon hasn't officially explained the reason for the delay, many believe this was expected after the release of Legacy of Atlantis was pushed back.

After this information spread across the world, Amazon Games stated that there is currently no new information regarding the game's release window and that development is progressing very well, but they still haven't denied that the new planned release is indeed 2028.

Fans are not happy at all that Tomb Raider: Catalyst has been delayed. Many even admit that they aren't surprised. Across the internet and social media in general, people often point out that it's better to wait longer and get a high-quality game than to rush its release and end up with an unfinished product. On top of that, they also hope the extra time will allow Crystal Dynamics to deliver one of the best Tomb Raider games ever made.

Tomb Raider: Catalyst is no longer releasing in 2027 and has been pushed back to 2028.

That means Legacy of Atlantis will be the next Lara Croft adventure we'll get to play, while fans will have to wait at least one more year for a completely new story.
