After ALMOST 7 YEARS SINCE RELEASE, The Outer Worlds FINALLY GETS A GRENADE UPDATE!

Developer Obsidian Entertainment is working on a new update, and the main thing in that update is the addition of grenades!
The update arrives at the end of May, and it’s the biggest possible patch.
It also brings performance fixes, lighting improvements, and various bug fixes!
Grenades are already in The Outer Worlds 2, but now they’re finally being added retroactively to the first game.

This is very random, but we’re not complaining since it’s cool support for an old game.
Realistically, 7 years later no one expects a new gameplay feature, especially not a completely new weapon like grenades. But here it is anyway. The developers still care about the game and are trying to revive it, and this is a good attempt considering how random and unexpected it is.

The game came out in 2019 and its sequel already exists. Usually at that point, the old game gets completely forgotten because the sequel takes over.
But not in this case. Here they’re going back and adding content for players of the older game.
AND THAT IS QUITE RARE IN TODAY’S GAMING WORLD.

This now shows that games can receive updates even years later, and it’s also an attempt to connect the first and second game through grenades as a feature.
Plus, something like this can bring old players back and get them to feel something they always wanted to expirience in the first game but never could.

The Outer Worlds FINALLY gets grenades after 7 years, along with a big patch full of fixes. This is basically part of an effort to revive the game.

This is realistically a late buff for a game that most people already finished, but still... Very cool move.
