The game Terraria has now officially surpassed over 70 million copies sold, and the developers even revealed that the average PC player of Terraria has more than 100 hours of playtime! Thats a lot!

As for the main numbers, Re-Logic revealed 70M+ total copies sold overall, with 39.6M on PC, 19.7M on mobile, and 10.7M on consoles.
And every average PC player has 101 hours and 18 minutes of playtime.

100+ hours of average playtime is an abnormally high number for the gaming industry.
Many AAA games people do not even finish and only play for 10-20 hours, or they quickly quit the game.
But Terraria obviously has massive replayability, addicting progression, sandbox freedom, and most importantly community longevity.

Terraria is no longer just 2D Minecraft. Over the years, the game evolved into a survival sandbox, RPG, boss rush, exploration game, modding platform, and practically a comfort game for many players who enjoy survival and messing around with friends in a sandbox.
That is why people constantly return to this game, because it is chill and fulfills everything a player wants.

One huge thing that people constantly praise is the fact that there is no battle pass, no microtransactions, and no monetization at all. Even despite all of that, the game is still getting updates even after 15 years. All of that is very rare in today’s modern gaming world.

Terraria has become an example of a live service game without being exploitative. The developers constantly add new bosses, biomes, collabs, quality-of-life updates, and mod support.
And even despite all of that, they still do not destroy the identity of the game.

In this new era where many live service games die quickly, Terraria has maintained a massive playerbase for 15 years and is still growing. It is still getting updates and creating insane engagement.

Terraria is now one of the biggest indie success stories ever in the gaming world, and this average playtime of over 100 hours shows just how addicting the game really is.
The community still loves the way the developers manage the game.

It still continues to get updates even after 15 years.

TechPlay sincerely congratulates Re-Logic on all of their success so far! <3
