Steam Summer Sale: 10 best games you can get for less than $5!
“So, on this yet another extremely sunny day, I decided to treat your wallet to a list of games that you can get at this year's Steam Sale for just 5 dollars or less. After all, there is nothing better”
I can’t say that summer is my favorite season – in fact, I’ll go as far as to say that I hate it. While you might like it, I am sure that your wallet hates it just as much as I do. There’s always some new trip, some new clothes, a new person to go out with, and much more. But, among all those items that some of us love and some don't, there is one that we all undoubtedly look forward to - the Steam Summer Sale.
So, on this yet another extremely sunny day, I decided to treat your wallet to a list of games that you can get at this year's Steam Sale for just 5 dollars or less. After all, there is nothing better than spending the days of hell on earth under an air conditioner, enjoying some great gaming experiences.
Disco Elysium - The Final Cut
Active Price: $3.99 Developer: ZA/UM Released: 2019

We start the list with none other than one of the best games of all time. If you don’t know what it is, then you are a sinner and you need to fix that as soon as possible. But for you sinners, in a few sentences: Disco Elysium can be described as a detective RPG where the player takes on the role of a very interesting detective trying to solve a murder case. Prepare for a lot of text, making many decisions, and talking to people of all profiles – from women of questionable morals to the biggest racists (both literally and figuratively).
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Active Price: $3.89 Developer: Troika Released: 2001

For me, Arcanum is one of the games that suffered a great injustice – few players have played it, and if you like CRPGs, this is required reading. This game also retains the other characteristics of Troika games, so expect bugs (which can be fixed with a fan patch), but also expect great quests and a highly interactive, unique world that has a lot to offer.
Rain World
Active Price: $1.78 Developer: Videocult Released: 2017

If you are not an "RPG guy" and are more the type who would rather break a sweat while playing, don't worry, we have something for you too. Rain World looks visually stunning, but beneath that beautiful surface lies an extremely challenging experience. But don't think that the difficulty of Rain World lies only in classic platforming; there are plenty of good new mechanics here, and in the end, remember – it's not about the goal, but the journey to it.
A Plague Tale: Innocence
Active Price: $4.99 Developer: Asobo Studio Released: 2019

There are always those among us who want to sit back and follow a good story. And what makes that story even better? You can experience it for just a few dollars. Besides a good story, A Plague Tale: Innocence also offers a solid gameplay experience in a world where the plague has taken over and where the fight for survival is all that remains. Maybe not the only thing, but we’ll leave that for you to explore…
Detroit: Become Human
Active Price: $3.99 Developer: Quantic Dream Released: 2019

From the creators of Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain comes Detroit: Become Human. If following a linear story like in A Plague Tale: Innocence isn't your vibe, then this game is the right thing for you. It brings with it a branching experience where the player changes the course of the plot with every decision, shaping their own destiny as well as that of others who are part of that world.
Dishonored
Active Price: $1.99 Developer: Arkane Studios Released: 2012

I couldn't skip mentioning one of the best stealth games of all time, which is now at the biggest discount it has ever been. You don't need to know anything more about Dishonored than that if you like sneaking around, you have to play it. If you like it, the sequel can also be grabbed for a little more than our limit for this text.
Dragon Age™ Inquisition
Active Price: $3.99 Developer: BioWare Released: 2014

Making this list, I realized that Inquisition came out in 2014, which was 12 years ago. Incredible. Anyway, if you don't know what it's about, the best description would be that this game was declared GOTY, and by buying that edition, you get all three official add-ons - Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent, and Trespasser.
Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition
Active Price: $4.79 Developer: BioWare Released: 2021

The worst thing about this list of mine is that there are 2 games on the list that will require the EA launcher. To be fair, there are even more, because Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition is a remastered compilation of the acclaimed Mass Effect sci-fi trilogy: Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. The length of this sentence probably informed you how much content you will get – I think it's worth the horror that comes with the EA launcher.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Active Price: $1,49 Developer: Nicalis, Inc. Released: 2014
For people who have never played a roguelike, there is no better invitation to the genre than The Binding of Isaac. Isaac is the most responsible for the popularity that this genre enjoys today, and it represents a 10-year-old project that offers hundreds of hours of fun, new items, many playable characters, and co-op play for up to 2 players.
Devil May Cry 5
Active Price: $4.49 Developer: Capcom Released: 2019

Finally, we are left with one of the best Hack 'n' Slash games ever. Devil May Cry 5 offers the same things its predecessors offered – ultra-fun gameplay, great music, the Dante-Vergil dynamic, and an experience you'll want to have at least twice. Perhaps the story isn't on the level of some other titles on this list, but hey, in rarely any other game can you spend several minutes in the air intensely hitting enemies.
