Valve has recently started sending out invitation emails for the Steam Machine. After so many years of waiting, this console is finally real.
After years and years of rumors, countless delays, and questions about whether the device would even see the light of day at all, Valve has recently taken a huge step toward launching the new Steam Machine. The first users have started receiving emails inviting them to complete the purchase of their reservation, which means the launch of the Steam Machine is finally just around the corner, and we can expect to see it very soon.
Valve has started sending pre-order emails to registered Steam Machine reservation holders who were selected through a random reservation system. Those who receive an invitation email have 72 hours to confirm their purchase. If they don't, their spot will be passed on to the next person in line for the console pre-order.
The company introduced this system to reduce the impact of scalpers and give as many real users as possible a chance to get the device. Even so, the Steam Machine has already appeared on resale websites at significantly higher prices than it should.
There is a lot of excitement among fans surrounding the Steam Machine, and social media is full of posts from people sharing screenshots of their invitation emails. At the same time, many users who weren't selected are hoping they'll get another chance through future reservation waves or canceled orders from other users.
However, because of the limited supply and high starting price, part of the community is still skeptical and plans to wait for the first reviews before buying the console.
After years and years of speculation, the Steam Machine is no longer just a promise, as the first buyers are actually receiving purchase invitations.
Now all that's left is to see whether Valve can actually live up to the massive expectations and the high price.
One thing is certain; THE STEAM MACHINE IS FINALLY REAL!
