Our good old beloved game Red Dead Redemption 2 has officially surpassed Wii Sports in copies sold, and because of that it has become one of the best-selling games of all time!
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now officially one of the best-selling games ever, even surpassing Wii Sports on the all-time list. Right now at this moment, the game has around 85 million copies sold. Which is honestly crazy considering the game is from 2018, and it still sells insanely well like it’s a brand new game. That really says a lot about this being Rockstar Games’ best game ever after GTA V (in terms of sales).
The current best-selling ranking list is:
Minecraft, in first place, Mr. Worldwide of the gaming world.
GTA V, of course we don’t even need to explain this one, we already know why.

So Rockstar Games officially has EVEN TWO OF THEIR GAMES IN THE TOP 3 BEST-SELLING GAMES OF ALL TIME!
This is very impressive because Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn’t have a live service focus, doesn’t have a battle pass, doesn’t have constant collabs, basically none of the things modern games actually have.
AND EVEN DESPITE THAT people still keep buying it like the game is new, replaying it, recommending it to their gamer friends. Because of that, many people consider it one of the greatest singleplayer games ever made.
The community mostly has the same response to this; they think the spot on the list is definitely deserved. But a lot of people also mention that Rockstar Games still hasn’t released a proper PS5 / Series X 60fps update.
RDR2 is officially becoming a gaming classic on the level of Skyrim and GTA, and its sales are still brutal almost 8 years later.
