A leak for the PlayStation Plus game lineups came out, and it was literally confirmed almost immediately by Sony!
Sony still hadn’t officially announced the lineup for the games coming to PS Plus in April 2026, and that’s why the leak came out before they revealed it themselves. The leak came from a well-known insider called Billbil-kun, and as usual when it comes from him, the leak was once again almost 100% accurate. After everything was leaked, Sony basically came out and said “yeah, that’s it”
For PS Plus Essential, meaning the free games, the leaked titles were
Lords of the Fallen
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream
and later all of this was confirmed as the actual games that will be released.
As for the Extra, meaning the Premium game catalog, at first the leak only revealed a few games such as
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
The Crew Motorfest
and Football Manager 26 Console
and when Sony finally revealed the full list, it turned out that all of these games will indeed be included.
At this point it’s not even about which games are announced anymore, but the fact that PS Plus leaks have become too reliable. Someone can leak it almost every month like this and almost never be wrong, basically killing the surprise. And then the hype drops because everyone already knows in advance which games will be included, the marketing reveal loses its purpose, and people react earlier.
All of that is a huge problem for Sony as a company.
But realistically for us players, that’s a WIN. We know in advance whether to wait or buy a game, we can plan ahead what we’re going to play, and there’s no random disappointment.
