When people logged into their PlayStation today to play, they were greeted by an official Grand Theft Auto VI boot-up animation when starting their console.

Sony appears to have created a special GTA 6 startup theme for the PlayStation 5 system. This morning, when players logged into their PlayStation to play something, they were welcomed with a GTA 6 boot-up theme as a pure "Welcome."
To be more specific, it is an animation and visual style that appears during the console's boot-up sequence.

This is most likely happening because Sony and Rockstar Games have clearly made a major marketing deal for GTA 6 as part of the promotion for the game. PlayStation received a special GTA 6 presentation through the console interface, animations, and visual identity connected to GTA 6.

This is not a new announcement for GTA 6 content, gameplay, or any new story information. It is simply just a small new detail, just a boot-up animation.

Things like this usually show how important GTA 6 is as a major game for Sony and the PlayStation platform as a whole. Sony very rarely gives this kind of treatment to other games, so the fact that GTA 6 is getting its own boot-up style further confirms that PlayStation is directly connected to the marketing campaign for this game. Many fans have taken this as another sign that PlayStation 5 will be the main platform where Rockstar Games promotes GTA 6 during the first year after the game's release.

This is not a new GTA 6 announcement or a reveal of new details about the game. Instead, it all comes down to the fact that Sony created an official GTA 6 boot-up animation for the PlayStation 5, which further shows just how large the marketing partnership between PlayStation and Rockstar Games is ahead of the release of one of the most anticipated games of all time.
