Marathon is already being destroyed by CHEATERS

The latest PvP extraction shooter Marathon, made by Bungie, has a very serious problem with cheaters, and it’s causing extreme frustration among players.

This is a real issue for the entire game, it could kill it before it even gets a chance to take off!

Players report encountering cheaters using aimbots, wallhacks, and generally impossible performance. So, classic FPS cheating chaos. But there is one key thing; THIS IS HAPPENING AT THE VERY EARLY STAGE OF THE GAME’S LIFE!

This is very bad, both for the developers and for us as players.
In multiplayer games, first impressions are usually everything. If people feel from the start that the game is unfair and full of cheaters, they might leave and never come back.

To be fair, Bungie has acknowledged the problem and said they are working on strengthening their zero-tolerance policy and implementing better anti-cheat measures, and that they will continue to invest in the game. Bungie is aware of how serious the situation is.

However, when developers say they are working on it, it usually means the problem exists, but the solution isn’t ready yet. So it will take time to finalize everything.

Extraction shooters as a genre are especially sensitive to cheaters because in those games, if you die, you lose EVERYTHING. Losing to a cheater in that kind of game hurts 10 times more than in any other type of game.

If they don’t fix this quickly, the game will get a reputation as a cheater-filled shooter, and that’s a death sentence for the entire game.

Bungie has experience with games like Destiny 2, but this is a completely new kind of chaos.
If they don’t react fast enough, it could turn into a disaster.
