GTA 6 Ultimate Edition is selling more than Standard despite price controversy!

For a long time before the official announcement, there was widespread speculation about what kind of price tag GTA 6 would carry once it finally saw the light of day. There was plenty of talk that it might be the exact game to push the price of AAA titles to €100 for a standard release. While that turned out to be untrue, GTA 6 still technically became a €100 game—just in its Ultimate Edition.

GTA 6 is officially being sold in two editions – the Standard Edition for €80 and the Ultimate Edition priced at €100. Considering that gaming communities have been actively debating for several years now about how gaming has become too expensive, it turns out that wasn't enough to stop GTA 6 pre-orders from leaning heavily toward the Ultimate Edition.

This only goes to prove that GTA 6 is the most anticipated game of all time and a cultural phenomenon for which people are willing to pay a three-digit sum. It should also be taken into account that the numbered 6th entry has been 13 years in the making, which significantly adds to the hype among fans.

On top of that, it's worth noting that the Ultimate Edition mostly brings cosmetic items, which include specific locations for customizing the appearance of characters and cars. While it's true that some additional missions are supposed to come with the top-tier edition, this isn't a full expansion, but rather something more commonly known today as a Deluxe Edition.
