New GTA 6 preorder rumors that we recently got apparently ended up being a bunch of lies. FALSE ALARM, because nothing is actually happening. At least not yet...
Even though the internet was flooded with leaks about a possible preorder start, new reports claim that nothing major is actually happening at all.
Fans found preorder code on the Rockstar Games website, alleged Best Buy emails, and various insider claims about a May 18 preorder date.
But the problem is that part of that code already existed before, and isn’t actually new at all.
Because of that, a lot of people now think the community simply overhyped the whole story way more than necessary.
People honestly believed this mostly because even though the leaks were overhyped, they still seemed believable, since GTA 6 marketing is supposed to start again soon, the Take-Two earnings call is coming, and the release date is planned for November 2026.
That’s why fans thought preorders had to be coming soon.
This shows just how insane the GTA 6 hype currently is, because people are analyzing even the smallest things like source code, emails, affiliate campaigns, blurry images, basically everything that can be found and everything that exists.
GTA 6 is most likely the most anticipated game of the decade, and because of that even the smallest rumor instantly becomes huge news and creates chaos across the community.
The GTA 6 preorder rumors created massive hype, but new reports claim that preorders are not right around the corner after all.
Rockstar Games still hasn’t officially confirmed anything regarding preorder dates.
