After the new GTA 6 trailers and gameplay trailer in which new things and new parts of the city were shown; mappers from the GTA fanbase started recreating the map.

When the first GTA 6 trailer came out last year, mappers from the GTA fanbase constructed a map that should approximately resemble what the original will one day be. But back then they were very limited with information about the map, and because of that they didn’t make that many things and there were a lot of mistakes.

However, now that the new GTA 6 Gameplay Trailer has been released, mappers managed to figure out the most important information from the gameplay footage and perfectly piece together in their heads what the map should look like (using buildings, streets, constructions, airport, etc...), and because of that they immediately got to work to reconstruct the old map.

YouTuber Saukko505, who is also one of the mappers working on this project, posted a video on their YouTube channel where they talk about everything that has been changed compared to previous versions.

A lot has been changed, but the most important thing is that they added a new international airport using clips they saw in the trailers. The new international airport looks great.
They also changed Key Lento, but only with some small adjustments, mostly buildings, streets, and so on.
In Watson Bay, most of the buildings were adjusted to look better and be more accurate.
As for the Hamlet part, they made a big change there; they expanded the gray area that connects Vice City and Hamlet. This was done to clearly show that Hamlet is part of the Vice metropolitan area, just like Homestead is part of the Miami metropolitan area in real life.

As for the rest of the map, they only adjusted streets, buildings, etc. to make them look more accurate and better.
