Rockstar Games released the third official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI today. Rockstar calls it the Launch Trailer. The video runs for 90 seconds and has been published across all of the company's social media platforms.
The trailer confirms that the game will launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has still not been announced.
Jason and Lucia take center stage again
The trailer begins with Jason recalling a difficult period during his military service. It showcases various locations and activities while keeping most of the story under wraps. As with the previous two trailers, the relationship between the two main characters, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, remains at the center of the narrative. Toward the end, Jason talks about his relationship with Lucia.
The game takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, and Vice City, Rockstar's version of Miami.
At the end of the trailer, Rockstar states that all footage was captured in-game on a PlayStation 5, not a PS5 Pro. The trailer also features new music from the French electronic duo Justice, who are composing the game's original score.
A long wait and two delays
Rockstar released the first trailer in December 2023, followed by the second on May 6, 2025. The game was originally scheduled for release in 2025 before being delayed to May 26, 2026. Rockstar confirmed the new November 19 release date in November 2025.
Pre-orders are already available, with pre-loading scheduled to begin on November 12.
The previous installment, Grand Theft Auto V, was released in 2013.
