Rockstar Games has finally revealed more about the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6. We now have a 26-minute presentation along with plenty of additional details.
Grand Theft Auto 6 has been shown through a presentation featuring a mix of gameplay and cutscenes. Everything was captured from the PlayStation 5 version, which looks impressive, although it appears to be running at 30 frames per second, as expected.
In terms of gameplay, there was nothing completely unfamiliar to longtime GTA players. Robberies, races, social activities and various hobbies are all present. Players will be able to visit a zoo, go kayaking, parachuting and diving, while those looking for something more relaxed can watch TV, browse social media and more.
The wide variety of activities remains, but this time the game revolves around two protagonists whose relationship can develop dynamically.
Although Jason and Lucia have previously been described as partners, that does not necessarily mean they have to be romantically involved. They can become a couple if the player chooses, but the story can also progress with them simply being partners in crime.
Rockstar says GTA 6 will feature the largest map the studio has ever created. The game is reportedly so large that even people working on it may not know everything it contains. Based on what was shown, traffic and pedestrian density appear significantly higher than in previous games, the streets feel tighter and the world looks more realistic than ever.

The game also stands out for its cinematic presentation, with plenty of dialogue and small interactions such as holding hands or smoking a cigarette during conversations.
One of the biggest improvements compared to previous GTA games will be the behaviour of NPCs. Rockstar says characters in the world have more personality than ever before. Pedestrians should react differently to the player's actions and interactions, while GTA 6 will also feature more visual variety among characters than any previous Rockstar title.
Although GTA 5 already featured multiple playable characters, GTA 6 will expand on that system. Players will be able to call their partner for help, spend time together and switch between Jason and Lucia during certain activities.
Their relationship can also become more distant if they do not spend time together, call each other or respond to messages. However, their relationship will not directly affect gameplay and will mainly influence how the story is presented.
Jason and Lucia's appearance will also change depending on their habits and activities. For example, they can gain weight or become more muscular.
A new Focus system will allow players to highlight points of interest without opening the full map. Navigation should also be easier thanks to a more detailed mini-map that can occasionally display 3D models of buildings and objects.
The crime system is also getting several changes. The six-star wanted level is returning, while escaping the police will be more difficult without a fast vehicle.
Police will also have a description of the wanted character based on clothing, appearance and other details, meaning that changing clothes may sometimes help players escape. Masks and disguises will also play an important role during robberies.
Robberies will be one of the main ways to earn money in GTA 6. Money itself will be more valuable, but players will also have to work harder to earn it. Stolen items, for example, will need to be resold before players can profit from them.
Stealing vehicles will also be more difficult than in previous GTA games. More expensive and faster cars will have better security, while their value can be checked through the WAINK app, which can also be used for hacking.
Finally, Rockstar says GTA 6's story has been designed to reward players for spending time exploring the open world instead of simply moving from one mission to another.
Now that we finally have a clearer picture of what GTA 6 will look like and what it will offer, what do you think? Let us know in the comments.
