A huge leak for the next God of War has come out, and everything that was leaked is going in a really crazy direction. Namely, THEY WILL ADD MULTIPLE MYTHOLOGIES INTO ONE GAME!

Yes, that’s right! The next game might not be tied to just one mythology, but to multiple mythologies in the same game. The leak specifically mentions Japanese mythology, Chinese mythology as well, and even some elements of Mayan mythology!

WE ALSO LEARN THAT THEY WILL ADD A NEW PROTAGONIST, and that is the craziest detail from this whole leak.
Allegedly we will be able to play as Faye, who is Kratos’ wife. Which means Kratos might not even be the main playable character at all...
That would be a huge change compared to all previous games, and it would kinda be refreshing.

What is a totally strange element is the talking sword we saw, but also some weird gelatinous creature as a companion... It looks like God of War is starting to move more towards fantasy and experimentation compared to the previous classic God of War games.

Until now, God of War usually worked on the principle of first Greek mythology, then Norse mythology. So always one culture with one era.
But this new leak suggests that for the first time there will be a mix of multiple cultures at once, and that is a HUGE change in the game’s design and story overall.

All of this actually makes sense, the Norse saga is finished after all, Ragnarok is over. And they can’t keep making the same type of game again, so they are trying to expand the universe. Something like a multiverse of mythologies.
And something like this was already teased earlier, that is that different mythologies exist together in the world.

HOWEVER, it’s important to note that all of this is still a leak, that is a rumor. Sony has not officially confirmed any of this yet, but it can very much be completely true, but also partially true, and we should be prepared for the possibility that all of this information is completely fake.

If this turns out to be true, this will either be the most ambitious God of War ever, or it will be too chaotic followed by a loss of identity.
