God of War: Laufey gets a February 2027 release date

The latest God of War game called God of War: Laufey has finally received a release date; IT ARRIVES IN FEBRUARY 2027!

Sony and Santa Monica Studio recently confirmed that God of War: Laufey will be released on February 16, 2027, for PlayStation 5.

The release date was revealed during a special panel for the game at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

The most interesting thing is that we will play as Laufey/Faye for the first time in the game, who is Kratos' wife and Atreus' mother. The story of this game begins after her death, when Faye unexpectedly wakes up in a mysterious afterlife known as Everywhen. There, Faye discovers that the plans she left behind to protect Kratos and Atreus are in danger, which is why she begins her new adventure through different worlds of different mythologies.

The announcement for God of War: Laufey caused quite a lot of discussion across the internet because Kratos is not the main protagonist of the game for the first time, but the game itself attracted attention because it is presented as a completely new take on the familiar universe. Actress Deborah Ann Woll, who is the voice actor for main girl Laufey, has already responded to the negative reactions and said that she is completely uninterested in them because of them.

God of War: Laufey releases on February 16, 2027, for PS5, and the game will follow Faye after her death and her journey through the mysterious Everywhen.

And an even bigger thing is that the next Kratos God of War game has already been confirmed and will directly continue Laufey's story.
