A major plan for FFVII Revelation has recently leaked. The store page hints at something huge, and that is; a Story Expansion Pass!
Even though Final Fantasy VII Revelation is still a long way off and won't be released until 2027, numerous details about content that could arrive after the launch of this highly anticipated game are already circulating across the internet. The reason is an alleged update to the Epic Games Store database, where fans spotted a Story Expansion Pass, multiple DLC packs, and several premium editions of the game.
The most interesting part of all this is that, according to the leaked store page, besides the standard edition of the game, there are also mentions of a Premium Edition, Premium Plus Edition, Digital Contents Pack, and a Story Expansion Pass, as well as multiple separate DLC packs that will be sold.
The Story Expansion Pass is what attracted the most attention, as it suggests that Square Enix may actually be planning a major narrative expansion after the game's release, similar to how Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade received the INTERmission DLC featuring Yuffie.
For now, nothing has been officially confirmed, but if this leak turns out to be true, it means that Final Fantasy VII Revelation won't end its journey with just the base game.
The Story Expansion Pass suggests that Square Enix could continue the story even after the end of the remake trilogy, which will surely make fans happy who aren't ready to say goodbye to Cloud and his crew just yet.
